Nordlysid.fo fær heilsanir ymsastaðni frá úr útheimi, og her er ein úr Cardiff, sum er sera misnøgdur við at Føroya Tele hevur vent web-kameranum á telefonstøðini
Hesin bretin sigur seg goyma myndirnar frá kameranum á telefonstøðini, og eisini vitjar hann nordlysid.fo dagliga.
Vit endurgeva brævið niðanfyri:
When I discovered last night that someone had changed the position of your Klaksvík webcam, I was most irritated. I was ready with my key-pad to send an e-mail of complaint to Føroya Tele. The reason being that the normal broadcast image is, (on a good day !) the best webcam picture I have ever come across. I work in a windowless office on 12 hour shifts and the view of Klaksvík is my only window on the outside world !
I have been in Klaksvík (via the webcam) in the freezing mid-winter, through the mist and the mirk, to the most glorious summer sunsets you can ever imagine. I’ve watched the comings and goings of the ferry, the activities of the Klaksvíkar Róðrarfelag, and the construction of the new promontory next to the boat house. My work colleagues think I’m mad … but I’ve caught some of them having a look at the webcam images too.
Since I discovered the webcam about eight months ago, and shortly thereafter the Norðlýsið website, I have come to learn quite a lot about your small community. Struggling with a very inadequate Faroese/English dictionary, I have read about some of the main events in Klaksvík: the elections earlier this year, the starting of the tunnel, the visit of the Doulos, and even the ladies of KÍ beating my own city of Cardiff 4-0 in Poland. ( I saw nothing about this in our own local press).
Anyway, back to the webcam and the new image showing a nice green field and some construction work. Why had it changed? Then, when I logged on to the Norðlýsið site I found out why. You are getting ready to webcast the concert from the Summer Festival. What a brilliant idea! I’ve still to work out how exactly I can get it (will there be a sound channel?), but time permitting, I’ll be there with you. Hope the weather remains good !
