Er tað rætt at drepa springarar

John William Joensen

Hello John William!
I read in Norðlýsið, that there were killed many dolphins in Klaksvík last night. Well, I thought only the grind is hunted but not the alantic white-sided dolphin (I guess, this species is meant, when you say springari).
Can I assume, that you make the survey on your website because
of the fact, that many Faroese don’t accept that? It looks like 50 % of your readers think so.
Don’t take me wrong: I don’t belong to those, who are morally indignant about the grindadráp (I was eating it sometimes in the Faroes by myself and I know, that it is good food), but I am wondering if the springaradráp is legal.

Best Regards
Arne
